Maybe some of you might remember, I have been emailing stuff to my husband's republican union (oxymoron) friends. My husband forwarded me this today, I don't know if his friend wrote it or it's a forwarded email but wondering what type of response would be the best?
I know the obvious is to bring up McCain's age/health so YES the VP pick is very important, I do have a president's fact book so I know I can pull info about past "govenor" presidents to show they had more experience and more than a bachelor's degree in journalism.
Anything else I am missing?
Palin's work as governor gives her the experience to run > this country if needed. When you run for President or Veep > and your a governor the experience with that job is at the > top of the list,if you run for any position such as > CEO,Board of Directors Head,Senator,House Rep.,Foreign > Diplomat,Member ofPresidents Administration,Veep, even > President of the Country and beyond. Many of our past > presidents were governors such as Thomas Jefferson-James > Monroe-Andrew Jackson-Martin VanBuren-William Henery > Harrison-John Tyler-James Knox Polk-Andrew Johnson-William > McKinley-Theodore Roosevelt-William Howard Taft-Woodrow > Wilson-Calvin Coolidge-Franklin Delano Roosevelt-James Earl > Carter-Ronald Wilson Reagan-William Jefferson Clinton-George > Walker Bush-18 in all that Fantastic company, if you ask > me.The reality is, VP's do not help win elections, they > merely help to shape the brand and image of the ticket. > Nobody votes for number two when they go to the polls. By > mid September nobody will ca > re whatsoever who the VP nominees are. This race, like > all other races, is about the men at the top-of-the-ticket. > The irony is that the VP spot is very important--especially > after a ticket WINS and is in the White House. Dick Cheney > and Al Gore have proven that the VP, in today's world, > makes a difference in the direction of U.S. policies, > foreign and domestic. But in the RACE for the White House, > nobody will vote for Palin as president end of story. > > Send me a thought please
