2. They were telling ME about McCain's lies the other night! |
|
I'm not sure what's going on here, and I don't trust them, but I have been watching a lot lately. I think it is a good thing to be aware of what the masses are being fed.

7. No, I am cynical....even a broken clock is right twice a day! |
|
Was just telling my wife that the press is sniffing to see who's ahead and trying to position themselves with the winner. I fully expect the opposite news from them any given night!

I was wondering how they would spin it.
They decided to stop the record player and just tell the truth.
NICE!

and they are watching the GOP flush their life savings away.
They think Clinton's ppl will be better than Bush's to fix it.
Maybe.

9. Hmm, maybe the kudos helped |
|
Last week, after the "Sarah Palin Lies...and Then Lies More" segment, some of us sent kudos. Here's the email again:
Nightly@NBC.com
I asked them to do a segment, comparing the health care plans (especially since McCain wants to tax, tax, tax).

to realize we really need the Obama team's expertise to jump in quickly with financial regulations and alternative energy Apollo projects and national health insurance before our society really goes totally kaput, and so they finally will tell the truth about the candidates and allow us our landslide.

21. i agree with that other guy...they are sniffing |
|
the networks get their money from advertising. they get ad dollars based on ratings.
no ratings, no dollars. so....i don't think they care what they are saying.
i think they only care to say what they think will make them money.
now, am i glad if they are telling the truth. yes.
but they need to tell the truth, no matter who is in power...or may win. but they won't.
i've worked in the entertainment/media business...they only care what sells. it doesn't matter to them if it's a truth or a lie as long as they can sell an ad for their time slots.

22. The corporations are in a bind |
|
On one hand, the really like voting for Republicans, because they will do anything the corporatists want -- even sacrifice their own children, if they have to.
On the other hand, they know that the McCain/Palin ticket is just batshit crazy. They could swallow Dubya because they knew Darth was in the background and Dubya had daddy's posse lurking around -- like the Verizon "network."
But with Palin/McCain, you get a senile old fool and a vapid, fraudulent Alaskan hillbilly -- with no one backing them up except shadowy and scary people with very narrow agendas.

or if I had gone back in time and didn't know it.
They told the truth once in a dozen years, and now they'll brag about it for the next dozen years. They'll want an Edward R. Murrow award based on tonight's telecast.
