Hate mail and threats to kick my ass from Hannity listeners

So I get home and check my blog stats and see a major spike in visitors today. I look at the referring URLs and it goes back to a thread on Hannity's website where they list two of my posts.

Not only that, I have three emails from them. One is pretty civil, but the other one calls me a n-word supporter and the other says I need a "good ass kicking"...whatever a "good" one of those might be.

Here is what they are pissed about

1. http://jefftompkins.blogspot.com/2008/09/ostrich-approach.html">This one names Hannity but calls out the entire Radio Right
2. http://jefftompkins.blogspot.com/2008/09/deference.html">This has a minor reference to Hannity

These people are losing their minds facing the impending election of Obama. It's as simple as that.

I wrote a LITTE about how successful Bill Clinton's economic policies had been for the nation. It was pretty dry and tamed. I got in the mail to my home address a hand scrawled envelope with a scrap of paper and a message basically accusing me of having a crude sexual relationship with Bill Clinton.

Well, I don't give a crap any more...

These assholes are no different from Nathan Bedford Forrest and those assholes who started the KKK when things didn't go their way in the Civil War. They need to be actively suppressed like Nazis were after WWII with the de-Nazification program in postwar Germany. Let them know that their days of being listened to are over.

They are getting desperate and shrill. It will probably eventually result (or has already) in violent out bursts. Be careful that your name and location don't leak out in posts on blog sites everyone. Be Safe!

I don't worry about letting out that "I'm from Michigan" on this site, but on other mainstream sites, I've learned the hard way to keep my location and other personal information hidden.

These people truly believe that having a differing opinion should be a capital offense. Back when the war started and I posted my oppositions to it on AOL message boards, I got floods of "you should be shot," "Bush is God's man," "anti-American cocksucker," "heil Hitler," etc. mails and IMs. This is the kind of attitude that got those people killed at the UU church in Kentucky.
