Did anyone hear Ed Schultz in Oregon, today? Wow! |
|
WHAT an audience. They were so enthusiastic and asked such great questions or made suggestions, it was great. Ed was even wired.

1. He is REALLY hitting his stride as a populist! |
|
He was rather, um, undereducated when he first went into syndication in my area, but BOY, has he bounded over the learning curve!
He was GREAT today, and some of the audience members actually brought me to tears (especially the father whose son had PTSD).
I totally enjoyed the program.

3. Yes, that father got to me, too. |
|
Imagine his joy of seeing his son so excited about going to school. He could have been looking at a future of depression and deep problems.
That scenario should be brought out in the campaign. I had forgotten that McCain voted against that bill.
I forget where Ed will be tomorrow, but if he's anything like he was today, I will be listening.
Do you suppose Obama has asked him to go on the road for him?

8. Big Ed was always a true populist at heart |
|
He just didn't know it until he met and married Wendy. He's still a little new at this but getting better all the time. Let me say that I am basically a Scandinavian style Social Democrat by conviction, and I am well to Ed's left. But no other liberal talker except perhaps for Rachel is a better emissary to the wishy-washy who are willing to actually shop in the marketplace of ideas. And Ed talks to one of the Democratic target audiences in a style and language that makes them immediately comfortable with him and that he is comfortable with. This man is a great asset to progressive politics.

6. Do you (or anyone else) remember how it worked on that voter registration card? |
|
I think I have the right program. I listen to so many.
Someone called in and warned people to double check their registration and to watch for cards addressed to their new address after they had moved. However, they were to return the card, but it was addressed to their old precinct or house? How did that work?
I read so much and listen to so much, my mind is a maze.
I'm trying to warn someone who just moved.
