Virginia, South Carolina, Kentucky - Get out the vote! TODAY!!! NOW!!!!
Early voting has started for parts of these states! Get those absentee ballots in!

If more people vote early, less calls and less resources targeted at our base will be necessary, and we can focus on independents!

"Want the campaigns to stop bombarding you with fliers and phone calls? Vote early.

"That's one less person we need to put a get-out-the-vote call to and one less person we need to send a mailer to," said Nathan Treloar, communications director for the Iowa Republican Party."

1. Seriously....
are there a bunch of Republican operatives on this site trying to mess with voting.
I live in VA -- THERE IS NO EARLY VOTING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!
And just because I'm new and you might want to come after me, this is my third post in the past two days saying this.
And I'm only going to get tougher with my denounciations if it doesn't stop.
One can vote absentee in VA RIGHT NOW but you have to fill out an application for an absentee ballot (AND MEET THE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCH) in order to do so.

THERE IS NO EARLY VOTING IN VA!!!!!!!!!!!

2. I think the article equates absentee with early voting by mail.
I don't think the OP or the article is intending to screw with people.

Others may be.

3. But that's what I take issue with.....
if the article is equating early voting with absentee voting it is wrong.

The reason why I made the insuation, is because it is not the first time it has been posted here and it had left me curious.

Early voting is when states open the polls early and you can walk in just like election day and cast your vote.

Absentee voting requires that you fill out an explanation of why you can't make it to the polls on election day.

It is not good for people to think that there is early voting if there is not. The thresholds for the two in regards to the voter are very important to discern, as an absentee application has a time limit, where early voting does not.

That's all I'm saying!

4. I thought about voting early in Virginia
But I really want to vote on Election Day. In 2004 I voted absentee because I was in college, but then I ended up being home in NJ on Election Day because I took a couple days off to volunteer in Philly. So my mom and I were both up at 5 AM because my dog woke us up and we were too jittery to go back to sleep, and I wanted to go to the polls at 6, but I had already sent my ballot. So I felt like I was 16 and couldn't vote again, just like in 2004 when I couldn't vote. Plus, I'm going to be cooped up in the office most of the day on Election Day (unless they send me out into the field...fingers crossed), and I at least want the satisfaction of casting my own vote so I can feel like I'm doing something to help.

5. SC has early voting?
I could swear they didn't... Hmm. Must go to research. Thank you for the alerts!
