Did Bill Clinton really say this?
Edited on Tue Sep-23-08 12:16 AM by Kerry2008
I just read on one of the posts, in my defense of Bill, that another poster said he said supposedly that "John McCain is a candidate of change, it's just a bad year for him."

I doubt the transcript or the video is up yet.

But if he said this, I'll retract every single defense I've had of Bill Clinton today.

Otherwise, carry on. Back to work on our victory in November.

6. Well for your information this is what he said
Bill said that there are several things about John McCain that Americans and he likes.

1- He is a intuitive politician.
2- He can be a candidate for change.

That is exactly what he said. Now carry on with defending him.

McCain actually IS a maverick, but it's bad to be a republican right now. It was not helpful.

5. In that context? I'll wait for the transcript or video to retract, but if so...
...I can't defend that.

That's bullshit. I'm not saying he said it, for now.

If he said that, in that context, you all can him. Lash away.

But I'll wait.

4. Yep.. he said that.... but that wasn't the worst part...

He said McCain's pick of Palin was smart and was made because McCain is such an "intuitive" politician.

9. I agree... Hillary has been awesome for Obama.....
Bill has been doing to Obama what he did to Hillary.

Sabotaging the campaign.

He ruined his wife's campaign... now he's working on Obama's.

14. No. He said that he and Americans like McCain
Because he is an intuitive politician and he can be a candidate for change.

There was no mention of Sarah Palin there. At least not in that specific part.

20. You need to rewind back to where he is talking about what he and Americans like about McCain
1- He is an intuitive politician
2- He can be a candidate for change

I did not hear anything about Sarah Palin. At least not in that part.

and will be brightly displayed in a GOP ad to be coming to your inbox in the near future. :(
