Krugman likes Chris Dodd's plan.
I like it too...

From Krugman:

"I’ve had more time to read the Dodd proposal — and it is a big improvement over the Paulson plan. The key feature, I believe, is the equity participation: if Treasury buys assets, it gets warrants that can be converted into equity if the price of the purchased assets falls. This both guarantees against a pure bailout of the financial firms, and opens the door to a real infusion of capital, if that becomes necessary — and I think it will."

1. I saw that in KO show today. He also said the Dodd has put more thoughts in his proposal. Maybe
Dodd was not planning to abuse the fund.

2. Ok, I'm surprised no one else has said this
if anyone watches 1st business I am in a position to watch tomorrow's show tonight because of my job and the guest (I wish I'd written down her name) tomorrow morning put it brilliantly:

Paulson's plan is like asking for something so outrageous you know you won't get so when the inevitable "no" comes you can offer up this other not-quite-so-outrageous plan that will look so much better by comparison that it's sure to be granted. Paulson's is the uber-outrageous; Dodd's is the merely outrageous. If Paulson's plan wasn't out there then Dodd's would never pass.

For more detail watch first business. I'm not sure how their website works (when it's updated. Monday's info is still up so tomorrow's may come at 6am or so)
