Can we give some loving to North Carolina's Kay Hagan (running against Dole)
http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2008/Senate/Maps/Sep23-s.html

Kay is starting to make a run for this republican incumbant seat currently held by Liddy Dole. Right now Kay is 3 points ahead but trust me, this will be a tight race.

Could this be seat #6 we pick up in Novemeber?

In other news, Mark Begich is pulling out ahead of Ted Stevens. You'd think these people would save Sarah Palin's former employer (She worked for his 527 group) but no, they want fresh face with Anchorage mayor Begich. It is still a 1-point game in Oregon and Minnesota. Can Merkley and Franken pull out the long run and win these states?

1. I also posted this in another thread, but...
Get involved with Kay Hagan's campaign here:

http://www.kayhagan.com/home

Liddy Dole may look down, but she is by no means out. Dole is a scrapper and a tough campaigner, and this incumbent won't be easily beaten. Hagan will need all the help she can get to defeat her, financial or otherwise.

If you live in NC, please volunteer for her campaign. If not, please at least donate.

Think how sweet it will be to turn Jesse Helms' former seat blue. :)

11. Picture of my kids with Kay
Edited on Tue Sep-23-08 11:40 AM by GreenInNC
This was at our local 4th of July parade. One of Kay's themes is to send Liddy back to Kansas. The yellow brick you see in the picture is from the Land of Oz theme park that was in the NC Mtns many years ago. Myself and several of my fraternity brothers (Kappa Sigma) at App State snuck in and took some of the bricks one night after the park had been closed for several years.

15. Hmm
Pollster has Kay ahead. Ive been watching NC.

Begich is ahead as well..

What are people in Minnesota seeing in the race there? Why is Franken losing, or is he?

And whats the deal in Oregon? Smith sucks, why is he ahead in most polls. It might be nice if Obama could show Merkley some love, given how Smith invoked his name first.
