Repukes new talking point per Sludge: Highlight tension between Obama and Biden |
|
I was slumming over at Drudge and realized the repukes have a new talking point other than the dreadful economy. They have tried to play up tension between Clinton supporters and Obama supporters. Now they are up to their old tricks in trying to play up tension between Obama and Biden.
There were two articles over at Sludge reflecting this. One with Obama criticizing Biden and the other with Biden criticizing the "1982" campaign ad.
Get ready for this BS coming our way.

1. I see this as a GOOD THING |
|
They fell into Obama's trap!
Obama always said he wanted a Veep who would CHALLENGE him. He did not want a "yes man".
This will only serve to highlight the wisdom of Obama's choice!

8. Thats exactly what I thought when I saw those headlines |
|
This is an Obama trap. American's are still a little unsure about Obama and want his VP to be someone who will challenge him on things. Obama has even stated in the past he wants a VP who will challenge him.

2. And how about the tension between McCain and Palin? |
|
Caribou Barbie is stealing the spotlight -- people walk out of rallies after she speaks and McCain has to talk to a half-empty room. There has to be just a bit of tension going on there.

6. I think Biden said this deliberately |
|
DUer Avabea says it well here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=7152154&mesg_id=7152165
It shows Biden is not Obamas puppet plus it gets a lot of publicity that the original ad might not get. Free publicityOk, so Drudge is biting. Is the McCain campaign biting?

7. The only thing sillier than these right-wing ploys... |
|
...is when the left-wing falls for it!
How about we play the opposite game. Whatever problem they accuse us of having, we do the opposite.
We need a thread talking about what a great job Bill Clinton has been doing promoting Obama. Another about how Biden was absolutely the perfect choice. And even Hillary, who is out there campaigning her heart out, agrees!
Come on...join in...

|
it won't be a big deal. It takes two to tango, and on shit like this Democrats shouldn't dance.

12. At least Obama and Biden actually know each other, so a little tension is normal among established |
|
politicians.
McCain and Palin and relative strangers and to me, this is much more alarming.

17. Obama can easily defuse this |
|
"Yes, Joe and I do disagree from time to time - and I'm very happy about that. I want a VP who will challenge me and make me think. This country has had eight years of 'yes men' surrounding the president and that has done nothing but hurt us. We can do better and we will. I don't want or need a 'yes man' in my administration. I want a partner who will speak his mind - especially when he disagrees with me. I can take it!"
