It's a shame that the first debate was switched from domestic issues to foreign issues
because right now everybody is thinking about domestic issues and the economy. Switching as they did only plays into McCain's hand and no satisfactory explanation has been given to why they switched topics. Surveys show that the first debate is always the highest rated.

here's a story on the switch:
Whether it was John McCain's campaign pushing to switch the topic of the first presidential debate to foreign policy and national security or Barack Obama's campaign relishing the chance to go after McCain's perceived strength, the University of Mississippi's preparations for the Sept. 26 event received a curveball on Thursday.

For months, the Commission on Presidential Debates had assured Ole Miss that the focus of the debate at its Gertrude C. Ford Center would be on domestic issues. However, a joint announcement Thursday from the Republican and Democratic presidential campaigns said negotiations on the debates had resulted in a switch.

1. O would get the last word before the election by focussing on his strength in the final debate.
I think the repukes are figuring they can get the economic mess cleaned up before then but they don't seem to get it - it ain't going away!

(unless they bomb Iran or have Israel do it... or withdraw from Iraq to distract from the economy...)

2. Obama will tromp him to the floor and they saved the best for last...

Obama will stun those ignorant idiots who think McCain is the foreign policy 'expert'.

He is nothing of the sort. Obama will mop the floor with him. He will be tromped. And, then he will go onto the next debate, in what is considered to be his strength, and he will double tromp him.

He will triple tromp him in the town hall.

In sum, he will thrice thromped.

Once bitter, thrice chomped, babe.

Okay, the stress has finally gotten to me. I am making puns with Great White songs.
