Poll question: I get my US Cable from WA state, and McCain ads are 5:1 to Obama
I'm in Canada and where I am Shaw Cable gets their US network feeds (FOX, ABC, NBC, PBS etc.) from Spokane, Washington. If the same show is on a Canadian affiliate, I'll probably watch it there depending on timeshifting. My DVR only records two shows at a time and I have to either watch one of them, or something already recorded.

Other caveats:

  • I only watch High Definition and only the following shows:
  • 'CSI' and clones
  • 'Law and Order' and clones
  • America's Got Talent, So you think you can dance
  • high end reality shows (Dangerous Jobs, Amazing Race) NOT Survivor, Big Brother or clones

... so that could be skewing the results one way or another.

Which of the following scenarios do you think explains this ("Obama", "McCain" means their campaigns):

1. When you see the financial breakdown, Obama is clearly good to go...

Obama has an extra $7mil in cash in Washington state. When we get closer to the elections, it'll be easy for Obama to outspend him and throw commericials around the clock in a large sector of programming.

2. That's because it's coming out of Eastern WA
I'm seeing very few McCain commercials out of Seattle. Far too many Rossi Ads though (YUCKIES). McCain has more of a base out of the Spokane market.
