Yesterday, we had Steve Schmidt dictating to the MSM the stories they should be covering of Barack Obama. In response to questions about the factual basis of McCain's attacks on Obama, the McCain campaign told Politico that they are in the "Tank." Likewise, today, the McCain campaign barred the media from asking Sarah Palin questions during her photo-op with world leaders.
The media should be ruthlessly slamming the McCain campaign for dictating what the media can and cannot cover. Instead, the media is being relatively quiet, and repeating GOP falsehoods like Obama has not offered a plan to respond to the bailout while not similarly slamming McCain for simply offering daily contradictions on how to respond to the crisis. Indeed, the MSM media is once again covering non-issue distractions like the affect of race on the election, as though Obama can change his skin color, or Hillary voters, which aimed at creating dissent among Democratic voters.
So, in yet another respect, a McCain presidency will resemble a Bush presidency.

The campaign told the TV producer, print and wire reporters in the press pool that follows the Alaska governor that they would not be admitted with the photographers and camera crew taken in to photograph the meetings. At least two news organizations, including The Associated Press, objected and were told that the decision was not subject to discussion.
