10. Here's possible verification
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3688588/

At the bottom of the page:

Gregory lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Beth Wilkinson, an executive vice president and the general counsel of Fannie Mae, along with their three children.

Though I see your point, you can see that marriage to a partisan figure doesn't neccessarily stop a Media Whore from doing media whoring.

Beth Wilkinson
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Beth A. Wilkinson is a prominent Washington, D.C. lawyer, who successfully argued for the execution of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. She has also been a critic of unfair administration of the death penalty. She also served as Fannie Mae's executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary from February 2006 until September 2008. She resigned her position at Fannie Mae along with three other senior executives on September 19, 2008, after the troubled mortgage giant was taken over by the government.<1>

Her compensation at Fannie Mae was not disclosed when she was hired.<2>

She's probably still collecting severance and getting their health insurance through COBRA?

16. A previous poster had the link although the "( )" isn't liked by the message box
but you can use that link anyway to click through to the wiki page where it says:

Since June 2000,<2> Gregory has been married to former federal prosecutor and former Fannie Mae general counsel, Beth Wilkinson. They met while Gregory was covering the Oklahoma City Bombing as a reporter and Wilkinson was serving as prosecutor on the case.<3> The couple have a son and twin daughters.

12. NO FREAKIN' WAY!
Journalistically this is a huge, huge problem.
Not that cable TV follows any of the tenets of journalism.
If his wife is drawing a paycheck from them, he should not be involved or moderate any discussion involving them.

Gregory should have just recused himself or called in sick or something. This is despicable.

22. Happy to K&R! And all the time he repeated Obama couldn't relate to the little guy
Having a degree from an elite university is nothing to be ashamed of. Even while we were growing up in another country, our parents always told us to shoot for the best - Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc. They never relented on requiring academic excellence from us, even when we did come home with the best grades in the class.

It's a shame that we have a whole class of punditry downplaying the importance of academic achievement, out of fear that the lower classes will mistrust the high-achiever who became successful on his own merits, unlike the legacy kids who litter Ivy campuses. As if they gave a sh!t about the little guy anyway.

Good job unearthing this gem!
