More on that guy checking out the Obama home..... |
|
Cops: Man arrested near Obama home had gun in car Published: 9/23/08, 2:26 PM EDT CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago police say they've arrested a man after he approached security barriers around presidential candidate Barack Obama's home. They say a gun was later found in his car.
Police spokesman Daniel O'Brien says the man wasn't armed when he was arrested Tuesday as he approached the barriers, posted with no-access signs, around the home on the city's South Side.
But police say they later searched his nearby car and found the gun.
The man's name hasn't been released because he isn't charged, but O'Brien says authorities could file charges later in the day.
Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley earlier said the man was apparently intoxicated.
Wiley says he didn't say or do anything threatening. He also never breached the outer security perimeter.
Wiley wouldn't say if Obama was home at the time.

1. its not normal practice for the secret service to release this information |
|
there's a reason they're doing so anyways, and its not a good one.

Thanks for the nudge... you are right, I'm convinced. Orders from their boss, no doubt.

with this much information...
when they don't do their job and no one corrects them, its because this is what they've been told to do.
consider what they refuse to reveal to us under "executive privelege", but THIS they reveal without prompting.

8. The story says "Chicago Police"... |
|
Perhaps someone inside the police force released the info.. or the media listen to reports on police scanners all day - perhaps they picked something up.
I can't imagine the SS would have anything to do with releasing this info.. especially since they know the odds are good that Barry-O is going to be their new boss in about 2 months, and they probably want to keep their jobs.
I'm just giving my tin-foil hat OFF opinion on this one.

9. believe me, if the SS wanted to keep a lid on it, they would |
|
and since it falls under national security, the newspaper or news media would oblige.
