5. Her raise in AT&T came after her marriage

She married an executive and her rise in the company was assured. She was as flop at AT&T with her spin-off of Western Electric into Lucent which has subsequently tanked. Then they forced here out of Hewlett Packard. She and Palin have a lot in common; ruthless ambition.
