According to our State Director, this weekend was nothing short of amazing! We set a goal of hitting 150,000 doors in Virginia, almost double what we normally do in a weekend. With over 6,000 volunteers in the State, we soared past this goal and hit over 170,000 doors and talked to 60,000 people! As one of the volunteers this weekend told me, “ I knocked on a Republican’s door and they said this was the third time an Obama volunteer has knocked on their door and they have not seen one McCain volunteer.” We are making everyone rethink this election, day-by-day, face-to-face!

I had a similar experience last week. This guy wanted to talk about "That OBAMA!!" we talked for 5 minutes or so (he isn't voting for Obama that is clear) and at the end I asked him, "Were the Republicans as courteous and listen as well as we did?" he said "I haven't had any Republicans knocking on my door" I replied "Is that right?"

9. Was phone banking this morning, had a lady answer ask all the normal questions and she replied that

she and her husband were both voting for mclame,because her husband was disabled and was in VN and knew what it was like. I tried to tell her about mclame voting against vets and all the rest but she got quite angry and demanded to be taken off the list. Told her thank you and when Obama wins, he'll still help you, whether you vote for him or not.
