1. The only thing consistent about Tweety is his inconsistency.

8. Someone should ask him that.
Email him...ask him...would you want your brain surgeon to be cool or emotionally reactive.

The problem with Obama is that there really isn't much to criticize him for so they have to make stuff up.

16. Yes, for years the KKK smeared their fellow citizens with rumors of detachment & poise.
"Too emotionally cool" isn't a racist smear. It's an elitist smear. And really, it mostly just a "slow news day" non-issue.

17. ew
I had that memory successfully suppressed, thank you very much. The time I must now spend drinking and bashing my head against a brick wall I could have used volunteering at the local Obama office.

11. I like Obama's coolness! It's a feature, not a bug!
Edited on Tue Sep-23-08 06:18 PM by backscatter712
We want a President who won't lose his shit at negotiations with Russia, China, etc. We want him to stay calm and follow procedures if there's a nuclear crisis and the decision need to be made as to whether to launch or not. We want a dangerous poker player working for us. We want the guy who shrugs off provocation, won't get thrown off balance, and continues to play the winning strategies.

I want Obama's coolness under pressure. You shouldn't have to bang your shoe on the podium or do a Dean Scream to express yourself or show passion about particular issues that affect us.

Last week Matthews was upset about Obama not being passionate enough...

If these are the only things he can criticize Obama about then we are in good shape :)

14. I prefer cool, coherent and intelligent to hot-headed, passionate and stupid.
I certainly prefer to have the person with his finger on the button that could end life as we know it to be cool, calm and collected.
No decisions like that should be based on the gut or emotionally motivated.

18. I much prefer someone who remains calm and unflappable,

and expresses himself in a reasonable manner, and understands what 'winning' IS rather than someone who has a knee jerk, shoot first-ask questions later, juvenile attitude, and thinks he knows HOW to win ... with his finger on the button ANY day of the week.

parties, or platforms in my eyes. How can anyone look at where we are at and not see the obvious ... this should be a no brainer!

Every day the glaring disparity in brain power between the two sides is making me :scared:.

I can't stand this type of pundit who play Freud every time they are on camera. Why not stick to the issues?

:wtf: is the matter with that?

Beats the hell out of hot-headed, and/or brain-dead idiots we have had (and will have if McSame gets in).

30. There was a man at our Mohawk Valley for Obama meeting
tonight who had on a tee that said "This time I want the smart president" with a a cool pic of Obama.

He said he wears it on Fridays to work at Lockheed and gets some looks. So many people were at the meeting who were the only Dems surrounded by raging repubs.
