Even AP is sick of Palin. Isn't that...the end?
The Associated Press took the prize today for the most dryly contemptuous lead sentence I've read in a political news story in a while:

"ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Less than a week after balking at the Alaska Legislature's investigation into her alleged abuse of power, Gov. Sarah Palin on Monday indicated she will cooperate with a separate probe run by people she can fire."

In the Poynter Institute's online media forum, Jay Rosen asked, "At what point does an extreme attempt to de-legitimate the press actually de-legitimate the candidate ... in the eyes of the press?" Perhaps this is that point.

http://blogs.tnr.com/tnr/blogs/the_stump/archive/2008/09/23/ap-palin-abuses-power-in-abuse-of-power-inquiry.aspx

My fav quote from Rosen is:

If the McCain campaign says the Times is not a legitimate news source why does the Times have to treat McCain as a legitimate candidate?

2. I'm seeing things this election I'd never think I'd see
This is among them. Holy shit.

I told everyone the media was gonna' crucify her; the question was whether they'd do it before or after Nov. 4th. Looks like they have a head start.

Less than a week after balking at the Alaska Legislature’s investigation into her alleged abuse of power, Gov. Sarah Palin on Monday indicated she will cooperate with a separate investigation.
...And the sentence ends there.

Edited to add another:

Less than a week after balking at the Alaska Legislature's investigation into her alleged abuse of power, Palin on Monday indicated she will cooperate with a separate probe run by people appointed by the governor.

4. She may be brought down by one of her own...
Alaskan repub president of the state senate, Lyda Green. She is fighting to get the investigation on troupergate up and going again, apparently, ms. goody two shoes, moose murderin', reformer and mother of the year has stepped on a great many toes on her ascent up the ladder of alaskan politics.

Unfortunately, a great many alaskan politicians are also ready to protect her because they lurve being a player on the stage of national politics.

Lyda Green comes across as a woman to be reckoned with, so we shall see. Maybe the msm press will seek her out since ms. palin has made herself so unavailable.

5. Lyda and Sarah are enemies.
I don't know if it's about being a player on the national stage. Sarah Palin demands loyalty and she is vindicative. The Repubs may be siding with her with her a variety of reasons .

6. Less popularity brings danger for her. McLame will drop you like his first wife.

8. From what Rachel Maddow was saying on her TV show tonight....
It seems that the media is NOT happy that they were basically shut out of Moosealini's field trip to the UN today. It's really hard to edit soundbites to your liking when she's not giving them any. Probably because she's been giving the same exact speech since the Repukeapalooza in St. Paul.
