1. I've really quit commenting on Bill
He doesnt say anymore really that Obama should win, but that he thinks hes going to win.

4. Jon Stewart had asked Bill Clinton "really if you were to run for President you
would win by 20 points" and Bill Clinton said to that "the only thing that really matters is that Barak Obama is going to win". Was a supportive thing. Not a mixed message.

Additionally, I think a lot of people have made careers out of interpreting clear signals as mixed...

19. Are you sending me a mixed signal?
'Cause I don't have anything close to a career in any kind of signals! :)

9. No, he isn't. In fact, he's quite reserved on this particular subject.
Now I know you guys think if he glances in Obama's direction, Clinton's done his job. But Clinton has the power to be a kingmaker if he wants to. He's making it pretty clear he's just not into it.

11. He said as soon as he finished up his work for his foundation...
He was going to go out for the last stretch and campaign every day...

What more do people want?

13. I'd settle for him chatting Obama up, but he is loathe to say much of anything nice about Obama.
He has said some less than helpful things over the last three months (is Obama ready to lead? well, I could argue that nobody is ready to lead ...). Plus his "people" are leaking to the press that he wants to do just enough to not be accused of doing nothing, and I think that's what we're going to get, nothing more, nothing less.

I would rather he stay home than proffer half-assed support. What he's not saying about Obama resonates as loud, perhaps louder than actually saying something.

His inconsistency is troubling and renders him unreliable as a surrogate.

12. MY favorite part was....
... when he said that it doesn't matter what we hard core Obama supporters think (that Bill is not being enthusiastic enough) but what the independants think.

Look, it's like this ......... the way I see it, there are four groups of people ..... the anti-Clinton folks who are never gonna be pleased with what Bill said, the anti-Obama folks (who were Hillary supporters) who have their minds made up and Bill's not gonna change it (and I know this because a PUMA friend of mine dont buy anything the Clinton's say about Obama as sincere.) Then there's the nutwings who hate Bill and aren't even listening to him.

And then there is EVERYONE else ........ and I got news for ya ...... Bill's supposed lack of enthusiasm is not gonna decide their vote. You think the undecideds are sitting there going "well, Bill doesn't seem amped up enough, I guess I'll vote for that hot headed idiot and the moos shooter." Um no.

I adore the Clintons ....... and while I think Hillary acted like a brat at the end of the primaries, I can understand if they're bitter. I wish they weren't, but I'd probably be bitter myself if I were them.

She did NOTHING no previous primary candidate hadn't done.

There is no tradition of lying prostrate at the feet of your opponent, none.

Two national surveys taken the last week of May showed her beating McCain by a margin 5% greater than Obama would have done so. She was a legitimate candidate.

Under the cover of whining "the primaries are over!" anytime their lies are called out.

14. Bill was great!
I really don't understand the outrage over his interviews the last couple days. He obviously supports Obama, he said Obama is going to win, he is going to go out and campaign for Obama as soon as he wraps up work with his foundation.

So let's drop the nit-picking, the spinning, the attacking, and actually listen to his words -- the only thing that really matters is that Obama is going to win!!! :)
