NO MCCAIN, NO BAIL OUT!
Edited on Tue Sep-23-08 11:18 PM by mzmolly
In spite of assurances like the following from http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/09/stephanopoulo-4.html">ABC NEWS

... a Democratic congressional leadership source tells ABC News' Jake Tapper that Paulson went so far as to assure Democratic leaders that McCain "won't be a problem" -- in other words that McCain will vote for the proposal.

Color me unimpressed with Paulson's assurances. I suspect that McCain is planning to vote no on the unpopular bail out unless we make him commit? See my thread http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=7160208&mesg_id=7160208">HERE

I think that Dodd needs to insist that McCain and if necessary Obama both sign on to any bill as co-sponsors before submitting any legislation for a vote.

I think we need to call Dodd and Pelosi's office and demand that McCain sign on as a co-sponsor to any bailout legislation we put on the floor?

What says you?

1. From what I heard all day, most republicans are against the bailout too...

11. I listen to the Right Wing nuts AM radio shows for a chuckle sometimes and..
Edited on Tue Sep-23-08 11:56 PM by Heather MC
they were spewing angry venom about bailing out anybody, they said let them fall
and of course blamed the dems for all the problems.
I say they are all at fault.

Anyway if those wingnuts are any indication the rightwing is against this, and I think it's smart they are forcing McCain to vote on the bill too

Of course if it works and McLame Caves to the Pressure, it will be yet another indication that he is not in control of himself, and other people pull his strings

12. Co-sponsor or bust
I say. His promise of a vote can't be trusted.

Both the right and left are opposed from what I gather? Amazing the fools dare blame Dems? What idiots.
