2. This is an accurate representation of where the race is right now
Unlike the "horse race only" polls that came out today....cough...Rasmussen...cough.

7. I agree!
This is telling:

"Palin's favorability rating has been trimmed from 58 percent to 52 percent, falling farthest in a key swing voter group, white Catholics; it's also down notably among white college graduates, independents, moderates and white women.

The number of McCain supporters who describe themselves as "very enthusiastic" about his candidacy rose 18 points to 46 percent after his convention. Today it's subsided to 34 percent, while a steady and far greater number of Obama's supporters remain very enthusiastic about their candidate, 62 percent."

3. And we havent even had debates yet

I imagine we'll pickup more from those. I can't fathom the idea of McCain beating Obama and surely don't see Palidrone beating Joe.

19. It's going to be fun watching the McCain camp respond
Wednesday will be a VERY interesting day. The two top headlines will be the economic crisis followed by Rick Davis and his connection to Freddie Mac. Ought to be good.

8. It's only temporary if the Congressional Dems allow themselves to be fooled.
That's when it will get tricky; the bail out situation.

11. We should be careful indeed. The situation has..
a lot of potential if we play it right. Do you think we should get McSame to agree with the plan?

13. Yes. But the Paulson plan is dead at least.
That proposal is one last massive WH fuckup. But the GOP is still manuevering to saddle the Dems with the stigma of whatever does pass -- if anything substantial does. Last I heard, Dodd was floating some kind of short-term measure to take us to the election.

If Obama is ahead this much heading into the debates this is great news.

12. Wow, how's this for a testimony to their respective bases.....
"Much of the movement has come among college-educated whites. Whites without college degrees favor McCain by 17 points, while those with college degrees support Obama by 9 points. No Democrat has carried white, college-educated voters in presidential elections dating back to 1980, but they were a key part of Obama's coalition in the primaries."

Prick/Pornstar, because you're proud to be a moron.

17. Absolutely.
If for whatever reason this race turns, having banked a huge margin in early voting could be the difference in a tightening race. Heck, McCain could be UP one or two points in polls leading up to Election Day, but if we've banked enough of a lead in early voting, he might not be able to overcome it.

29. Likely voters is the most proGOP type of poll there is. Now they'll HAVE to try and steal big
and I'd bet BushInc won't take that big a risk to get caught in this political atmosphere.
