when they're in the middle of a meltdown. I love the smell of freeper flop sweat. It smells like... well, you know.
I'll never forget the through the roof meltdown that freeperville went through on election night in 2006. This looks to be even more over the top.
Can't wait to read rimjob's response to Obama winning and dem increases in Congress.

SeventhSon was a provacteur...He would post the most outrageous stuff and try to get DUers to agree with him and make us all look as crazy as he was...My favorite(sic) Seventh Son post was when he said General Clark was part of a conspiracy to poison Haitian men and give them "man breasts"...
He "came out" on Election Eve and said what a great man Bush* was, how he "played us all that time", and that we were a bunch of loathsome losers...He also PMed some members and told them they should die of AIDS...
As a point of privilege I can honestly say I never trusted him...

including some of the most self-important DU celebs.
It was hysterical to watch--he would spin his bizarre conspiracy theories and people here would congratulate him on the quality of his "research" and attack any who pointed out that he was obviously playing games.
And yes, the Haitian mantit episode was possibly the greatest DU moment ever!

Me, too. I have an old, old Freeper account. I'd forgotten the password, but recently figured it out. On election eve, they're going to have a long-time registered user promoting Bob Barr for president.

Yes, I check Free Republic all the time,it's interesting to watch. What is interesting about polls is that they blame "dem controlled polls" the same way some DUers blame "GOP controlled polls" whenever they don't favor us.The same handringing excuses exist on both sides. I happen to believe we've reached a positive turning point here and that Obama's number will not go down from this point, but I do think it's interesting that both DU and Free Republic tend to expend a lot of energy blaming the messenger.

I don't like Luddites , even if they have a (D) after their name...
The polls are what they are...People are free to spin the results but if there are errors I think its prudent to attribute the errors to incompetence and not malice until proven otherwise...

...Freeper meltdown memory lane...a snap shot of Harriet Meirs comes to mind. You have to give them credit though, they knew instantly that she was all wrong. They are losing their touch. It's taking them forever to figure out that Palin is an air head!
Another meltdown...when McCain became their nominee. They should have had a clue then.
But let's not be smug. They are much better at hubris. I think one of the reasons Obama is doing so well is because even republicans are getting it.

Heckfire, a goodly 25% of them are still having trouble figuring out that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii. I love the birth certificate threads there. All that obsessive paranoid energy turned on itself. Ever since the Texas Air National Guard memo, they think that every political question will be resolved by their l33t dokument ekzaminer skillz.

...that being conservative isn't enough. The president has to be smart too! Bush, McCain, Palin...all low intelligence. People who aren't very smart make great puppets.
So freeper lurkers...take notice of the people you want put into high positions and why...because they're great to have a beer with, they're hockey mom, they have endless war stories...they are JUST LIKE YOU. (You know, I'm pretty smart, but I want someone who is WAY smarter than me.) Pick the guy/girl who knows more than you do, that you have to listen to very carefully to understand, the one who reads books, non fiction, instead of watching "Two and Half Men", the one who got all A's in school and went to a great college. Pretend you are hiring a brain surgeon.

If you were getting brain surgery would you want a doctor who didn't do well in school, or went to a low tier medical school, but gee, he such a nice guy. Would you want someone who loses his temper if a nurse drops an instrument or keeps his cool. When Palin didn't know what the Bush doctrine was, the response was...well most people don't know what it is. Imagine saying, my doctor doesn't know what a thyroid gland is, but most people don't. I'm just saying, the presidency is the most critical job in the world and should be treated that way. Not like average is good enough.

Wonder if ol RimJob there realizes that easily 1/4 or so of his vaunted userbase are there just in a "keep tabs on the enemy" manner.
I must say though, it is easy to blend in with the crowd and post along side them. Take any topic, think about the dumbest crowd-pleasing thing to say about it, and you're flooded with a bunch of "you're right" and "x2" simpletons.
The Free Republic is truly where intelligence and common sense go to die.
