3. it was an olive branch to the "gettin ready to bolt" right wing religious nutjobs.
They were seriously going to stay home and not vote in droves.
also, don't overlook Todd Palin's BP connections. This choice was forced on McCain, I believe.

This comes directly from the scary Committee on National Policy -- Dobson, Ollie North, Tim LeHaye, etc. They want Palin in there in the worst way -- an idiotic, unsophisticated religious nut who can be molded to their agenda.

6. What amazes me how so many people could embrace a "nobody" so quickly.
They knew nothing about her other than the created advertisement legend which has turned out to be a complete fabrication. Now they have to hide her and have not even bothered to changes the lies. Lies seem to be enough to attract Republican. Some people used to call Democrats yellow dogs, Republicans are the yellow dogs with ticks and fleas.
