The Diageo/Hotline tracking poll Obama has 6 point lead largest lead to date

http://politicalwire.com/archives/2008/09/24/upcoming_polls.html

The Diageo/Hotline tracking poll to be released later this morning will show Sen. Barack Obama widening his lead over Sen. John McCain to six points -- his largest lead to date.

A new set of battleground polls from CNN/Time will be released around 4 pm ET. States surveyed include Colorado, Montana, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Rasmussen has polls from New Hampshire and Colorado coming today.

SurveyUSA is expected to have another 10-11 state polls sometime this week.

The latest NBC/Wall Street Journal national poll comes out tonight at 6:30 pm ET.

2. I am not feeling good about NH- and not just the presidential race there.
The race between Shaheen and Sununu has narrowed to 4 points in the latest UNH poll. Hodes isn't much ahead of his challenger and Shea-Porter is also in a tough race. NH voters are a strange breed.

6. Chill
The UNH poll, the one showing McSenile ahead and Shaheehn's lead narrowing, is notoriously inaccurate. It was 30 years ago when I was at UNH, working on the polls phone banks, and it still is.
Obama will carry NH. Shaheen will hammer Sununu.

7. sorry, just because UNH polling was inaccurate 30 years ago, doesn't mean
it's inaccurate today. I've been watching NH politics from across the river for over two decades, and though it's definitely gone from red to purple, it's still a quirky electorate, and there's a strong allegiance to McInsane. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it swing back this year. That said, I think Shaheen probably will pull it out. She's running great ads and winter's looming onset and energy prices should put her over the top.

9. What I said is, it was and is still inaccurate
I've lived here all my life, watching politics from this side of the river. The change in the electorate here has been incredible, but the UNH poll has remained consistently poor.
Gore would've won NH had he expended an ounce of effort. Kerry did win NH. The state legislature went Democratic two years ago for the first time in 80 years.
Obama will win NH.

5. Today's polls should be interesting.

MT and WV were only polled once after the conventions. Hope they are close. The New Hampshire poll comes from Rasmussen - so I would expect a smalllead for McCain. But I am confident that Obama leads in CO,PA and WI.

10. With voting beginning this week, it's a great time to be pulling ahead.
McInsane's people must be going nuts.
