We have the best ticket in generations.
Did anyone see Joe Biden's speech? OH.MY.GOD. That was a MAJOR teaching on the way of the world and the way of foreign policy. He totally laid the case on why John McCain would be the worst possible choice for our country at this time. McCain got EVERYTHING wrong. Obama GOT IT RIGHT! McCain has been really simplified in his worldview and talking points. "The surge worked!" Yeah, but how did it work and in what way? Are we safer? What about the Iraqi oil agreements? Government? Elections? They have a 80 Billion dollar surplus yet we're spending 10 Billion a month there. In what way, besides the obvious implication of more troops on the ground, did it work? If you put more forces in any spot, be it police or military, there will be less violence as a result, but what was the real goal and what was the real benefit? Joe Biden is a friggin genius. He talked about Iran to Georgia and Russia to the emergence of China and India to Russia's resurgence and even McCain's view on our allies, as if they are expendable and irrelevant. McCain should be no where near the White House.

2. I love our ticket - and there were other Dem candidates who were great too
Quite a difference from the other side!

3. I agree.
I have never been so excited about our candidates. In the 60's many people, Catholics in particular, had pictures of President John Kennedy on the walls of their homes. I might just have to put a picture of Obama and Biden up. I truly feel that we can dramatically change the direction of our country, from downward to upward, under President Obama. With so many major issues today: war, economy, healthcare, an Obama administration could have as much impact on our country and the world as did Abe Lincoln or FDR.

4. I really HATE when the media says he commits 'gaffes'.
I saw a headline that went like, 'Biden Powers up the Gaffe Machine'. Frankly, I love that he commits these gaffes. Because when he does, it is a rare moment of honesty that we rarely see from a politician. I don't believe his 'gaffes' will hurt Obama in the least. Obama is more than aware of who he picked for VP, and he appears to be able to handle it, even when pressed with Biden's 'gaffes' in interviews (Matt Lauer better be as tough on McCain as he was on Obama, btw--I love tough, but not if the other candidate gets the kid glove treatment). That being said, where is this wonderful speech I've been reading about?
