3. Especially since VA, FL, CO, and NC are all close or Obama leads.
This COULD get ugly, but it could easily reverse itself. Let's not forget that a lot of these leads are tenuous, and nothing an October surprise couldn't change.

2. IA (and NM, for that matter) aren't really battlegrounds anymore.
Those have been written off as Obama wins in most pollsters' minds. The PA poll is encouraging, but the NH poll is an outlier and provides some doubt as to the credibility of this outfit. NH seems to be consistently +2 McCain at this point, and an 8 point swing seems unlikely. It COULD be true, sure, but it's suspect until further evidence comes about. MI seems a bit of a wide margin as well, but it's in line with what I believe it SHOULD be at this point.

4. I knew he was kicking ass in Iowa. Even the dyed-in-the-wool repugs I know there
are supporting Barack. Two even attended the Dem caucuses to support him. I now tease them that they are officially Dems :)

Mary Louise Smith, one time chair of the RNC, came from the town where I last served in Iowa. Lots of people there voted Repug out of personal loyalty/friendship/familial relationships with her. Even they are backing Barack now. One told me Mary Louise would, if she were still around.

Bush has screwn the Repugs.

6. I want Palin to have NOPLACE to go home to. I want McCain to be the LAUGHINGSTOCK of Congress.
Wait a second... my wishes have already come true!
