The Fox News poll is causing a worried frenzy on FreeRepublic

Teehee.

The best comment was this:

The bailout needs to be defined, signed and OFF THE RADAR SCREEN ASAP.

There is no chance whatsoever to win as long as Wall Street dominates the front page of newspapers. And no, don’t believe the Democrats can be blamed for it. The MSM will report what they report and the people have already assigned blame.

Get the bailout voted on and off the radar screen or this election is over. This upheaval has proven as strong for Obama as Palin was for McCain.

They're worried folks. This is the reason McCain will support the bailout... to get Wall Street to settle down and get the panic off the news.

McCain's in a box.

Support the bailout = tied closer to Bush

Reject the bailout = Wall Street panic/collapse and economy stays as issue #1 on voters' minds

I love it

3. McCain can't win. If he supports the bailout, he will look like a typical republican
Something he doesn't want to do. If he doesn't vote for it, then he looks like he's out of touch and doesn't care about the economy.

That was the approach Democrats took with the IWR in 2002. They voted on it in October, and it only strengthened the Republicans hand for the midterms.

8. McCain's best strategy here would be to glom onto Bill Clinton's solution,
which is about bailing out homeowners (and securing assets) as opposed to bailing out big corporations and acquiring a trillion dollars worth of bad debt. If he was a real "maverick," he'd jump at the chance to play economic populist. But he ain't--plus, his campaign is being run by total morons. So there you go. He'll be for the bailout after he was against it.

10. Haha! Now they're saying that Soros is manipulating the market to cause fear
...to push people toward Obama:

To: DemonDeac
It’s not convention bounce that’s wearing off. The American people are being played for suckers and fools by the msm, George Soros and liberal east coast elitists. The timing of the “financial crisis” has been arranged. 0bama’s campaign was going south fast after Palin was selected, and the smears didn’t stick. So now the economic hype and fear have been let loose. I’m not saying there is the financial situation of many banks isn’t precarious because of bad business deals. What I am saying is that market reaction and panic are often perceived rather than real. Whatever real problems are being deliberately exacerbated, RIGHT NOW!

They’ve acted like cowboys firing off a few pistol shots to get the cattle herd to stampede. The American middle class is the herd and we are being stampeded off the cliff. Or herded onto 0bama’s collective farm. Either way it sux.

11. I'm waiting for their reaction to the National Enquirer exposé
The NATIONAL ENQUIRER names GOP VP Candidate Sarah Palin's secret lover!

No less than three members of the man's family including one by sworn affidavit have claimed that Sarah Palin engaged in an extramarital affair with husband Todd's former business partner, Brad Hanson.

These sources have named Hanson as Palin's secret love, and say their affair nearly wrecked both their marriages.

Hanson owned a snowmobile dealership with Palin's husband Todd, who immediately dissolved the partnership after he heard stories about the affair, which occurred around 1996, according to the sources. At the time, Palin was mayor of Wasilla.

Palin has vehemently denied cheating on her husband, and Hanson insisted to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER that he was never romantically involved with the 44-year-old Republican vice presidential candidate.

However, Hanson family insider, Jim Burdett, has gone on the record and passed a rigorous polygraph test, revealing details of the affair to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER in a world exclusive interview.

Somebody needs to bumpm in about how McCain is LOSING the EARLY VOTING RIGHT NOW!

People are already voting and I guarantee you, McCain is losing badly in the early voting because of the economy.
