Poll question: Question: Should Obama agree to cancel the debate or not?
Edited on Wed Sep-24-08 02:19 PM by RiverStone
NO capitulation to McBush's tactic of delay and distraction. The beat goes on, and so should the debates as scheduled!

2. Other: Congressional Dems should get a bill ready to be voted on Friday morning.
That's already looking like a real possibility - why not just accelerate the timeframe a bit? Shit, everyone's demanding that something be done quickly anyway.

5. The sky is not falling, therefore, Congress can work through next week to get it right.

3. (a) Don't agree to cancel, (b) Do MORE than McCain on the economy ANYWAY....
*SHOW* America what it's like to have a leader who can do two things at once.

4. The networks already carved out the time slot
The location is already secured and the travel arrangements have already been made so he should go. McCain can either pull up his big boy pants and face Obama in a debate like he's suppose to, or he can look like a scared idiot and not show up. It's up to him.

6. Pros and Cons either way...
McCain will try to make the case that he, and not Obama, cares more about the economy. We don't need that shit.

We could win points by NOT postponing, but at some risk.

Or we could diffuse the case that John will make and agree to postpone.

I want a debate, but I don't want the BS that John will pull, and you know he fucking will, if we don't agree.

I'm leaving it up to Barack Obama, he knows what to do.

10. As Obama said today -" presidents can do more than one thing at once"
A "pro" shows for the game. And it's game on even if McCain is a no show. That = a win for Obama no matter what ! :)

7. Obama could be in Washington that day and in Mississippi that evening
He could do both and should make that clear.

8. I vote Hell No...BUT...
be prepared...if Obama doesnt agree, you're gonna hear how selfless McCain was to suspend his campaign and how selfish it was of Obama NOT to...and how that shows that the American public is not his first priority...

I'm just going by the negative course of this entire campaign... The old damned if you do and damned if you don't.

9. I don't think it's fair to the American people
who are really worried about what is happening in our country and want to hear what each of the candidates have to say about their solutions to America's economic problems.

It's seems to me like McCain is more worried about the solutions to his campaigns problems than the American people's problems.
