Someone on here came up with a great response to McCain's stunt. |
|
Move the debate to D.C. and make it on the economy.
Maybe even change the format to make it an open forum or something.
He must make a counter-offer to avoid making it seem like McCain is showing leadership.

If the debate is going to be changed (in terms of location or subject or date), then it should be a MUTUAL CHANGE, not one dictated by only one candidate. Obama must make this look like a mutual decision.
On edit: And if the subject is the economy/financial crisis ... BRING ON THE KEATING FIVE REFERENCES!!!!!

3. Agreed, McCain isn't looking forward to the economy debate |
|
Indeed, making the first debate over Nat security is viewed by their campaign as a victory because they think it's Mccain's strong suit, and changing the subject of the debate would be devastating.
I don't know if that's good idea for Obama though, because it's too easy for McCain to make some stupid "America first" statement about putting the campaigns aside. Plus, both sides have been studying National security.
I'm confident the Obama camp will come up with something similar to regain the inititive however.
