I applied to be trained as an "Obama Deputy Field Organizer"
And I guess they didn't want me. I applied on 9/17 and the training in my area is this weekend.

They asked on the application if I had prior campaign experience, owned a car, or spoke spanish. I answered no to all 3 questions. I assume the car question was the most important. I could have teamed up with someone and carpooled, but I guess not.

It's to bad because I am able to commit 6 days per week, and I live in California ... about 4 hours from Nevada. And I was also eager to travel to other battleground states.

Did anyone apply? Did you get accepted?

1. They are probably overwhelmed with volunteers. There were too many for Las Vegas
... no room for an extra thousand people in the bus or at the Riviera ... but there will be upcoming weekends where you can participate and do GOTV

2. I also was not accepted
Don't assume the car question was most important. I had one and was not accepted.

3. I was "let go" from the campaign
because I refused to work 98 hours per week. And I was treated like shit for the 4 weeks I worked for them. So don't worry, you are only missing the most demeaning experience of your life... especially if you are over 30.

4. You don't need a title to "commit 6 days per week" in Nevada - Team Obama Still Needs You!
Field Organizers have to be able to do a lot of driving. Please sign up to register voters in Nevada now.

6. Last week
they were looking for people in PA and OH. I don't know if a car was a requirement or not. Do you want me to PM you the messages?
