Is McCain making any public appearances the next few days? Is this really a medical problem?

I hate to speculate, and it's entirely possible this is just a dodge to get out of the debates, but maybe he's had some sort of illness that would increase concerns about his age, like a ministroke, and this is a cover for while he recovers?

I really don't think we should take him at face value on this.

4. That's the first thing I thought of.

Well, the first thing I thought of was "they're hiding something bad." Then it occurred to me that McCain might be sick. Someone did say he looked drawn and tired the other day, but who knows?

All the more reason to get a (real) look at those medical records, though.
