Its just a way to continue to duck the media
McCain has been keeping himself, and Sarah, away from the media for a long time now. They really are convinced that the more the public hears from them, the worse it is for their campaign.

Postponing the debate and going back to Washington (where he'll be "busy") is just another way to keep avoiding facing the media in any way.

Um... They're right.

Honestly, strategically, this could be smart for them. They are stuck between a rock and a hard place. If they debate, they are going to look STUPID and WRONG on so many issues. If they don't debate, they are going to be called cowards and dodging the media. Apparently, he'd rather be thought of as a coward than as stupid. Whatever...
