Obama up 60-37 in Maryland.... I smell a landslide
Barack Obama is dominant in Maryland’s presidential race. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state finds the Democrat ahead of John McCain by a 60% to 37% margin.

This is the biggest lead the Democrat has held in the state this year. Last month, Obama led 53% to 41%. Maryland has cast its ten electoral votes for Democratic candidates in the last four elections.

This month, Obama leads 57% to 38% among unaffiliated voters in the Old Line State. He also leads McCain 52% to 36% among men and 58% to 37% among women (demographic crosstabs are available for Premium Members). Learn More..

Obama is viewed favorably by 67% of Maryland voters and unfavorably by 32%. McCain’s numbers are less flattering, with 48% who view him favorably and 51% who view him unfavorably.

Ratings for the candidates are similar to those of their running mates. Joe Biden is viewed favorably by 63% and unfavorably by 36%. Sarah Palin’s numbers are 41% favorable, 58% unfavorable.

Voters in Maryland believe Obama made the right choice by choosing Biden by a 49% to 30% margin. Meanwhile, voters do not agree with McCain’s choice of Palin by a 53% to 37% margin.

Just over a third of voters (35%) say Biden is politically moderate, while over half (59%) see Palin as very conservative.

4. I Guess It's Contagious.
You would not BELIEVE how mobilized we are. Here in Maryland, nearly every large Democratic county is sending hundreds of people to VA and PA every weekend to campaign. Those who can't go are phonebanking, writing postcards, doing local voter registration... and holding fundraisers.

We FINALLY got free yard signs. Supporters are lining up for them.

And it's all we talk about. Everywhere you go, its not just that people are discussing the race, they are discussing WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO SUPPORT THE RACE. It's a totally different mindset. And every day, I run into people who are elevating themselves from voters to supporters, asking "what can I do to help".

I'm very proud of us.

Yes We Can, Yes We Are.

F*ck you, McCain.
