Well it seems we have our October Surprise |

McCain's efforts to suspend the presidential campaign and put off (permanently?) the debates are all part of their effort to use (a possibly LIHOP'd) economic crisis for political purposes.
I call bullshit. The american people deserve to have their candidates for president discuss this crisis and all other IMPORTANT ISSUES, NOW, not later.
McCain cannot win on the issues and his damaged campaign has made that clear since they put the VP lipstick on the Palin pig. All they have been doing since their convention is creating one false distraction after another. Anything at all to avoid discussing the disaster of the last eight years.
Obama can debate an empty chair if Gramps is a no show. We deserve better than this.

1. Unfortunately, an empty chair would do better than McSplit would. |

3. McCain just knows that this is a TERRIBLE political moment for a debate |
|
Obama should slam him on Rick Davis and all that that implies, then go and explain that Democrats are really ALWAYS (virtually) better for the ordinary folk, ESPECIALLY in hard economic times, which in turn are usually brought on by (or at least during)GOP rule.
The MSM seems to be working hard to justify the lying and help McCain (downplaying or being silent on stories like how Alaska got the "thanx but no thanx" bridge-to-nowhere money ANYWAY, and WITH GREATER FREEDOM ON HOW TO SPEND IT THAN BEFORE, or about Rick Davis) but it's a hard sell.
it seems to me that if the fix is in, the fix is in, but you never know
