1. I don't think it's a good idea
Barr's simple minded libertarian views play pretty well during this economic meltdown.

Plus Obama has likely spent ZERO time preparing to debate someone with Bob Barr's views.

why agree to show up on a stage with someone of marginal interest to debate. It only helps Barr.

3. they cannot include him under the rules -- he has to have 15% in national polls

it would be nice to get Barr's name in the news however for those conservatives who are aghast that McCain has obviously chickened out.

Sarah Palin is not qualified to be dog catcher let alone debate the Democratic nominee for president. Either McCain shows up or Obama has the stage to himself.
