7. I went to an Obama rally in PA in a red county
that was only announced 24 hours before the event.

I went about 90 minutes before the gates opened (over 3 hours before the event was to start) and I didn't get in. There were 15,000 people there.

I imagine with both Joe & Barack it will be packed. :bounce:

13. Then You'll Be About THREE Hours Too Late! You May Get In, But
thousands will be in front of you! These events attract very large crowds.

3. Ahaaaaaa, MORE Attention Paid to North Carolina . . . .

After Barack was just in Charlotte on Sunday. Clearly, the internals for NC are looking pretty darn good . . . this is outstanding news!

8. I Just Got Back From A Rally In Dunedin, Florida, Just North Of Clearwater.
Talking with one of the police officers who was doing "duty" there, we were told that the crowd stretched back 7 miles!

The Stadium was was jammed packed and I was told there were about 10,000 people there. The stadium only holds 6,100, but they were letting them in as long as they were in line.

Will have pictures in the coming days... If you go YOU WILL ENJOY it! It's pretty electric and I wasn't an Obama supporter before his nomination. Nor was I a Hillary supporter, but the experience is something to be a part of. I had even thought about sitting GE out, but decided with Biden on the ticket I could do it... BUT THEN CAME PALIN and I KNEW I had to get out and work for the ticket!

My daughter and I drove up from Sarasota, with home-made bumper stickers on our shirts front and back and got LOTS of people commenting to us. Sarasota County numbers 2nd as the MOST Red County in Florida!! And it's the place that LOST ALL THOSE votes in 2006!

Go see Obama, you won't regret it as this election is TRULY ground-breaking because he's a black man that very probably will get elected. As a Boomer, it's a comparison of what I felt like when Kennedy was the first Catholic to be elected. Even though they didn't have these type of huge events back then.

9. This area is kind of small ...
and I already see visions of people packed in going miles down the street. I just have to go and see Obama/Biden. I donated to them and I support them fully.

11. Dunedin Isn't Very Big Either... Clearwater Is AND It's Very Close... But
I would have LOVED to have seen BOTH of them together. That would have been THE BEST!

It was hot & sweaty and my face is burning from the sun and I'm used to Florida weather. But I don't burn easily so it's okay, but many there said they were sure they would be peeling off some skin in the coming days. AND we had quite a few Republicans For Obama there and Independents too. We were in line with a couple of Independents who said they were glad to be there and will vote for Obama! And THIS IS FLORIDA!

Lots of security, no jewelery allowed, not drinks and nothing metal except for car keys. I even had to take my Obama button off to go through security! But I was surprised it was at Dunedin and not
St. Pete or Tampa. But it was VERY BIG, so don't be surprised if you see folks come from all around. Don't know how big the stadium is, but this one wasn't as big as some.

And you WILL see people from miles down the street! At least that's what happened today. We got there around 8:00 AM and there were about a 1500 people there at that time. Gates were to open at 10:30 but it was a little later, and he spoke at 1:00PM! A long day for us, and I'm ready to plop down and rest, EXCEPT I come home to hear about this DEBATE crap, and heard what Bill Clinton had to say about how "gutsy" McCain was for picking Palin!!!

Kind of poured water on an exciting day!! I WON'T be watching THE IDIOT that's for sure!

15. I should have been clearer - I wasn't talking about the city.
I was talking about the location in my city where the event is taking place. I wish they could have held it at Aggie Stadium (probably having a football game that day) or somewhere where more people could come. I don't know why they chose the Depot. Kerry came here 4 years ago and it was held inside. If this event on Saturday is held outside, then I can see people in the streets for miles. That's why I am getting there around 3 am that morning for a chance to get in.
