Are we perhaps witnessing the greatest bait and switch of all time? |

I have a feeling that the plan all along was to get Palin into office ASAP by using McCain as sort of a weak vector. And then after all this hullabaloo, Palin will be framed as something of a savior. Question is, will it work? ;)

Of course it won't work. Hell, I would buy a gun, and learn to shoot for the civil war that follows if they try.

6. No. She's a simpleton. No way they can sell her as qualified. |

it's time for Democrats to get over our shell shock and realize that they are capable of fucking up with no ulterior motive.

Palin is about as thrilling to most voters as a piece-of-shit desk from Ikea: It looks good standing there, but as soon as you try to get something out of it, it breaks.

16. Depends on who's running the GOP nowdays - |
|
If the Tali-bornagains have the upperhand and the majority of the funding left over to run this campaign, it's for real. Delusional, but for real, 'cause Palin's playing her chosen part of that "bringing everyone to Jaysus" 19th century prophecy crap they put out as biblical and they can't seem to fathom that more 3/4ths (probably closer to 99/100ths, since most of their fearful sheeple are pretending so they can belong to the flock) of the country really don't feel the same way they do. If it's the Neo-Con/Eugenics/Chicago School mafia - well, they might just be getting ready to wait out 4 years of Obama to later try to re-putsch their plans with Romney or Gouliani or some other bright new Randoid face that they're grooming to take over the family. I've given up on the classic Paleo-conservative and/or moderate Republicans, they've got no say in their party anymore and they're probably going to go independent or bring back the Whig party if they don't just jump ship and become Democrats.
