Barack Obama positively effected my economic situation today!!

We are hobbyist breeders of German Shepherd Dogs. I usually like to have a litter for the Fall and that is our Christmas money. Anyway, it is hard to sell a $600 puppy when the ad goes up the same day that Wall Street goes into freefall and everybody starts screaming about the next Great Depression being right around the corner. The upshot is that out of a litter of seven that I have been trying to sell for about ten days, we still had four left as of this morning. Our last two litters all went within three or four days of putting the ad up. Anywho, a really nice older German couple came to look at the puppies today. They were very reserved and the wife spoke almost no English. She pointed at Timmy and turned to her husband and muttered something in German, but she just didn't seem very enthusiastic. They muttered amongst themselves for a little bit and I stood there thinking that they were tire kickers and wasting my time. Suddenly, clear as day, the woman exclaimed, "Barack Obama!?!" I glanced up at her, a little confused as to what had brought that on. She pointed at her chest and said again, "Barack Obama?" I looked down and realized that I had my Barack pin on. It is a stylized image of Barack with the word "hope" underneath. I nodded and said, yes, I support Barack Obama. PRESTO CHANGEO!! Immediately they became all smiles and got REALLY chatty. Not that I could understand one word out of ten, but the upshot is that after a few minutes they were driving off with the lady in the backseat with Timmy in her lap and I was counting six crisp $100 bills.
