1. Well that is beyond hillarious - tougher than most of the anchors

"We have word that John McCain has finished with Katie Couric and is now with Rachael Ray making veal picatta."

He is saying he is not ready and Palin is not ready.

5. I like the part where McCain says
Edited on Wed Sep-24-08 08:43 PM by abbiehoff
Maybe next time I'll bring Sarah Palin, and Letterman says "Whatever you need to do".

7. David Letterman isn't one to forgive or forget...
He totally decimated that crazy artist who erected the orange curtains in Central Park who blew him off... How stupid can John McCain be?! (rhetorical question...):wow::dunce:

8. That was great!
Dave: Do you think he'll come back?

Paul: Not after the drubbing you just gave him.

12. Glad you saw it and I caught that, too, LOL. But you knew it was coming...
You could tell that Dave was steaming from the moment he walked out, and he just kept rolling. It was cool that Keith was there, even though he barely got a word in, LOL, but that wasn't the point. You could tell that he was enjoying himself...;)

Wish that I'd been in the audience for that performance, a lot more exciting than Dr. Phil...:eyes:

I loved Dave's last line, that McCain was done with Couric and was now on Rachel Ray making Veal Piccata...

11. I was thinking about that tonight...lol..
Christo and Jeanne-Claude. I gather they didn't just decline but rather, had their agent act as if DL had insulted them by inviting them onto his plebeian show, the day after he had mentioned the 'Gates' enthusiastically.

13. That's the guy, LOL, had forgotten his name...
I also remember that Dave had been enthusiastic about "The Gates," since it was a big event in NY, but when he invited the artists on his show, he was turned down. They were insulted at the short notice and replied that they were "in demand..." Whoa. Dave repeated that line countless times for the next several days...:D

10. Miss his show so much
They stopped showing Letterman's show over here a while ago. He's a legend. I hope he continues his abuse the rest of the week.
