They are calling Obama to Washington to control his response

They are trying to keep Obama under control. They are trying to create the illusion of bipartisanship decision. They are trying to
keep Obama from rallying the American people from the issue that has finally united us.

I hope Obama can stand up to these people, and use this to expose them for the frauds and cowards that they are...

Obama PLEASE. FIGHT BACK.

23. DING DING DING!!!
I've said this in some other threads. There is no other reason they are pulling this stunt except to derail the debates and to put Obama on the defensive and in a reactive position rather than offensive and proactive.

11. I think we're over-reacting
Going to a meeting with Bush, McCain, and Congressional leaders isn't going to hurt Obama. Obama will still go to the debate on Friday.

McCain didn't have anything to do with it, at least on the surface.

19. Timing. Think about how they're setting this up.
Wednesday: Republicans declare de facto impasse, crisis, need for breakthrough in negotiations.

Thursday: Big pow-wow at White House at the suggestion of John McCain.

Friday: Bill passes, Republicans and LIEberman gush about how McCain brought people together. Media types talk about how McCain made things happen.

Ugh.

Ostensibly, it was Bush.

8. That may be the case...but Obama is holding all the cards and they know it.
He's going through with the debate and will leave on Thursday night. McCain will have to give or look like an idiot.

The only reason the dim one is asking for a meet between McShame and Obama is because McShame suggested it.

31. Cave in as compared to what?
The man "needs" to win this election. What do you think he should do differently? What has he done you disapprove of, besides create problems when he has enough of his own?

Most people don't even know what a neocon is.
