More of Couric's interview w/Palin. It's sooo awful....

http://www.blogsforjohnmccain.com/sarah-palin-interview-cbs-news-katie-couric-video-92408

I'm utterly speechless. I had my husband come over and watch it. When he wasn't laughing
at her, he stood there saying, "Oh my God...Oh my God...what the...Oh my God..."

No wonder they're angling to get the veep debates canceled.

She is awful. I thought she was bright. She is NOT.

In the first segment--she says her soundbyte. Then Katie asks a simple follow-up. She repeats
her exact soundbyte. She's a trained seal, who only knows the lines she studies. She has no
f&**king clue.

I'm ashen after watching this. I feel like I've been gob smacked by a giant medicine ball filled
with stupidity.

I'm sorry...I'll stop. I'm just...blown away by how one-dimensional she is. She's is an embarrassment to
women.

1. I just watched it, too
It was just jaw-dropping. Terrible beyond words.

This is McCain's fatal flaw - his total lack of judgement, his snap decisions. Palin is going to be an anchor wrapped around his feet from now until November. With this interview she just ended McCain's campaign.

By the way, I was pleasantly surprised by Couric. She wasn't going to take that memorized BS and really pinned her at the end.

10. And don't you agree...that the questions...
Edited on Wed Sep-24-08 10:42 PM by TwoSparkles
Couric asked were not difficult. Couric wasn't asking her about brain surgery procedures.

When she asked Palin the follow-up question about Rick Davis "still having a stake in the company"
Palin was speechless. She had no clue. Palin just repeated the initial soundbyte.

The rest of the interview was a wash of gobbledygook. It was obvious, that she is so way over
her head.

There are so many lines from this interview that are fodder for the comedians.

Unbelievable.

19. they weren't difficult at all
And especially - especially! - the question at the end asking what regulations McNut has proposed in his 26 years in Congress.

Now, if you don't know the record of your running mate, then you're seriously behind in your homework. This question should have been expected given the contradictions the press has noted between his bragging about being a deregulator and his sudden emergence as a fire-breathing populist.

It's very possible he doesn't have anything else in a 26 year Congressional career. After all, he's a run of the mill big business Republican. But they needed to prepare her with a coherent answer.

I was blown away by her vapidness. She can't think on her feet. She's a complete idiot. Choosing her was all about having a female on the ticket. We are in such dire straights here. People are actually supporting her. Oy.

of not voting or voting for Obama.

My Rightwing buddy at work said at this point he is undeceided because of Palin. And undeceided meaning he may not vote at all or vote for Obama. That is a huuuuuuuuuge change from before Palin was picked.

She's no reflection on women in general. I've met few people - men or women - as stupid as Sarah Palin. She's so stupid, I don't think she realizes how stupid she is.

25. I have had a couple of bosses like that...
...both of them were males.

They are lethal, because they are insecure. They realize how dumb they are, but they
hide it behind their arrogance. Many women are able to hide their dumbness behind
a combination of good looks and feigned arrogance.

You're right...these types are very dangerous animals.

I don't know if anyone caught the MSNBC profile of Palin. At every level of government
that she entered--she royally and completely fu*&ed over the very people who leveraged her.
The people who urged her to run for Mayor of Wasilla--high rollers that she met in aerobics
class--were people that she went on to destroy.

She did the same thing when she became governor. She eviscerated anyone around her that she
perceived to be more powerful than her. She claims she did this to "eradicate corruption."

Bullshit. Total lie. She's a corrupt piece of trash who tried to get someone fired over
a family squabble. She also lies incessantly (bridge to nowhere, etc). She doesn't give a rip about corruption
because she is a corrupt, amoral politician herself.

So why destroy everyone around you...if it's not about making the world a better place? It's
because she's a sociopath who enjoys the kill. Plus she's dumb, and she knows it. So, instead
of using her office and her power for good--she seeks to destroy people.

Well, her stupidity and lack of depth is revealed in technicolor in these interviews. She must be
insane by now--because she's orbiting in a world where she has no power over people, and she can't
just destroy those who speak out against her. She can't destroy Gibson, Couric, Obama, Biden or
the 65 percent of this nation who thinks that she's incapable.

Sorry I'm so verbose tonight...I'm really blown away by how bad that interview was.

29. Good post!
Some of my main experiences with dumb, arrogant and ambitious were with bosses.

Now, intelligent , arrogant and ambitious can be worked with. You sell them on the idea that what you are suggesting will be in their best interests as well as yours and they are smart enough to accept the deal.

Dumb, humble is fairly easy. Mostly they will just do what you tell them to do.

Intelligent, modest, caring and ambitious is a piece of cake.

18. I did think she was bright...
...and that was based on her convention speech.

I thought she was a very bright, charismatic woman--who was playing the, "Aren't I cute?" card.

We all know beautiful, smart women who rely on their looks to charm people and get what they want.
I thought she was one of those.

Honey, she's not even in the same league as those women!

She was well-rehearsed the night of the convention, but there is no "there" there.

She's about as sharp as a sack of wet mice.

44. Her convention speech was written by someone else--for a male VP pick--but then
modified to suit a female speaker when McCain picked Palin. She didn't write it--she just memorized it and delivered it. That takes some eprformance skill, but not intelligence.

16. good question
When times were good in 2000, people could go with someone they perceived as cute 'n cuddly. We all know how *that* turned out.

Now times are so serious that we need serious people running our government. She should scare the crap out of anyone who isn't Rapture ready - and she is, based on her plummeting approval ratings.

Americans are stupid, but not as stupid as to vote for Palin because she drops her g's and uses 'ya' instead of 'you'.
