God Almighty! I Am Worried That Bush/Rove/McCain Are Setting Obama Up.
Edited on Wed Sep-24-08 11:16 PM by David Zephyr
I worry that they will have video recorders and trap questions and comments.

I worry that they are getting Obama to sign on to something and then pull the rug out from under him.

I worry and I worry...

Why?

Because he is the greatest Democratic Candidate for President since Bobby Kennedy.

Because he will take my country to the greatness that it deserves and will be a truly remarkable, once-in-a-lifetime leader for the future of our planet.

Because I love the guy and don't trust these motherfuckers one second with our guy.I

Everything in me wants to reach out to protect him now. I know I am not alone.

Barack Obama, I wish you godspeed with all of my heart and I wish you all the great karma you have coming to you.

1. Just breathe...
Obama's going to be the smartest person in that room by a staggering degree of magnitude. He'll be just fine.

2. Running for and being President are dangerous jobs. I believe
that Obama will be up to the tasks. He is not a naive person. He will take care of himself.

18. Yep. Head over to the Political Videos Forum
and see clips of the Palin / McCain campaign tanking on national TV.

6. Have you no faith! Obama is everything you say he is. Trust him
to handle this BS meeting very well. I certainly do. The last time I "wasn't worried" when our Prez was attending a difficult meeting was when BC was prez. I look forward to having that feeling again.

12. If you really think he's the greatest, don't worry. I'm not worried. Obama
can talk circles around both of them. I'm totally convinced.

And I love him, too; you want to protect him. That's nice.

15. David, IMO the reason you are worried is because you sense good in
Obama and almost no good at all in Bush et al., and that in a world of your choosing the good in Obama would inspire you as it has without impediment from amoral slugs like the Bush administration, and that you want the good to prevail after 8 years of its opposite.

I agree with other posters that Obama is a hell of a smart guy. He isn't going to let any trap close on him. Bush's address tonight (so far as I know) hasn't been polled. I don't think many people are tuned in to the man at this point. I think after Abhu Ghraib and Katrina even his loyal supporters begin to drift.

McCain really has no choice but to show up for the debate in Mississippi, and voters will have little choice but to side with your instincts on Obama once that debate is in progress.

I don't really know what's going on with mcCain's campaign suspension, but I have a feeling the Obama team isn't going to fall for anything that helps the GOP and hurts us.

20. Not to worry. Whatever they started has gone out their control because nobody trust them.
All the crisis that they have created just played right into Obama's hand. This is working against them.

22. Speaking of RFK......
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 12:35 AM by Clio the Leo
.... is anyone else moved almost to tears at the irony of RFK's last public statement, "and now it's on to Chicago and let's win there."

Think about it ...... it gives me chills.

Another bit of random trivia ......... RFK won his last primary on June 4th ........ Barack collected enough delegates to claim the nomination on June 3rd. Hillary conceeded on June 7th .......... Bobby Kennedy died on June 6th.

It's prob. a good thing the dates dont match up EXACTLY ... otherwise I'd be convinced that all this was an act of God and spend all my time in prayer. lol

and how supercool are these pics?

But yeah ............ and now it's on to Chicago and let's win THERE.
