My wife and I just watched the Couric interview - and after it was over she said
"She sounds just like a temp"

My wife used to work as a temp on occasion.....

I snorted and the lovely said "She looks just like the times I was left on the front desk with NO orientation or even a phone list to consult and how many times I had to answer just that way so I could say SOMETHING..."

3. Your wife is right! I know exactly what she's talking about....
I was thinking about when I was about 21 and went on a job interview that I shouldn't have been on...I probably sounded something like her...just rambling off shit and including buzz words..

BTW if you want to have some fun rerun the interview and listen to it without and video.

She really does sound like a temp and Katie Couric sounds like a potential candidate for VP

16. After using the chimp as a test case, I think they thought they
could get away with anything.

What's really frightening is that millions of people will still vote for that ticket - a doddering old guy who is afraid to debate and the no-nothing vp the neocons stuck him with.

8. McLiar's campaign must be terrified of letting her out to the press
While coaching her it probably became apparent, albeit too late, that Sarah is a few freedom fries short of a Happy Meal.

19. I'm a substitute teacher. Last year I subbed for a couple of days
in an "Honors" English high school class. Students take "Honors" because they think it looks good on their transcripts - not because most of them can actually hack it. What you came up with sounds exactly like the crap those kids were writing in their essays - a bunch of useless gibberish they spat out hoping to hoodwink the teacher.

18. OMG I so relate, she's totally right. (I was a "floater")
That's kind of like being a permanent temp! You work for the same company every day but you're always filling in for somebody, like a house temp I guess. I did that 20 years ago at Paramount Studios, it was the HARDEST job I ever had because I never was around any dept. long enough to know what the hell I was doing.
