Where is the good faith?

I listened to a few minutes of right wing radio out of curiosity. They were praising McCain for putting the good of the country above his campaign.

How can people be this out of touch? What can they point to in the past seven years that suggests the GOP puts the country ahead of political/financial gain?

IMO, questions that should be asked of the GOP. Do you believe in a peaceful transition of power? Do you truly believe that the American people should decide this election...meaning do you really support fair elections? Do you believe in the rule of law? Do you think the Bill of Rights should be left to the discretion of the Unitary Executive?

The fascist mentality of the GOP base is scary. If the shit hits the fan they would accept a scapegoat without hesitation even though their great leaders haven't disguised their contempt for the public which of course includes much of the GOP base.
