Politically Speaking - This is a HOOT |
|
I was just enjoying Dave and some Sarah Palin jokes and thought to myself --
This kind of hilarious self-destruction of a political candidate doesn't come around very often - at least not in our favor. We better enjoy it while we can!
We should post our favorite funny. I think I like Madame Mooseburger best.

4. I think, and I pray, that this is on another level.... |

Quayle and his partner won, after all.
At that time in our history, things were pretty calm and solid. Now we're in a war and on the verge of depression, in a recession, an economic freefall.
Back then you could afford a Quayle partner. I hope it's different this time. And she is quite a wackjob, not just dopey, but wacky.

6. This is completely different |

They mostly poked fun at Quayle, and he wasn't anywhere near as stupid as Palin either. But after today's campaign suspension, it looks to be a complete free for all. McCain screwed up so badly that there's no reason to give him an ounce of respect and it doesn't look like he's going to get it.

3. I have to admit, this has been one of the more surreal elections I can remember. |
|
Before Palin, it was pretty routine. After Palin it went exit stage fucking left.
And I've never seen so many folks energized over an election. Hell, I have a friend from work who I've never, in my 10 years working there, spoken to outside the office. And she calls me this evening, furious at what Bush said. I was thrown for a loop!
This election is feeling pretty good right about now! Nutty... But good!

I have been following politics since 1954, and this is the most surreal campaign I have seen. I think we all suspected the possibility of a McSame meltdown, not many could have seen this coming. You just could not make this stuff up it's so goofy. It's so goofy that my head is starting to spin with tinfoil theory's. Hopefully the margin of victory will be so large that Rove will not be able to engineer a theft this time. My latest tinfoil thought is that the aliens are coming and they know it so they don't care. I don't care either, as long as they take all the Scientology goofys with them when they leave.
