Barney Frank is playing this beautifully
and is helping Barack make McDole look like the completely opportunistic idiot that he is.

If the Dems, orchestrated by Frank and Dodd, pass the bill before the weekend, virtually cutting Ol' John out of the process, it shows Obama as a true statesman, who refused to play politics with a national crisis and, as Barack himself noted, as one who can actually multi-task.

And it leaves McDole as the living antithesis of his own campaign motto: the man who put petty, stunt/gimmick politics before country.

Well done, Mr. Frank!

1. Yes, but could it not be used against the Dems.
I am really worried that it is a trap.

4. McDole? As in Bob? I beg your pardon.
Bob Dole was an honest hack politician who would never have dreamed up this stunt. We're way past Bob Dole in the GRD (Great Republican Devolution).

6. Yep
Chris Dodd was my candidate this year and I love how he's helping set this up.

McCain just got the political equivalent of a ankle breaking cross-over dribble from Obama.

9. Dodd turned an interview into an Obama for President ad. He was great.

8. Barney Frank is the arguably the smartest person in Congress
He should be at the top of Obama's short list for Treasury Secretary.
