McCain was in Middleburg on Tuesday the 23rd.

McCain in northeast Ohio: Undecided on Wall Street bailout package
Tom Beres 1 day ago

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS -- Senator John McCain says he has not decided whether or not to support the Wall Street bailout package now being reviewed by Congress.

The price tag is $700 billion, but could run higher.

In an exclusive interview he told Tom Beres,"I have not had a chance to see it in writing. I have to examine it."

But he listed the factors he considers most important.

I guess he figured it was about time he started to pay attention and since Obama was already working with members of congress and talking with folks in the administration, McCain has to play catch up so suspending his campaign makes sense. x(

2. You'd think one of his aides or even Sista Sarah would have
printed it out to give him a copy.

5. I've been emailing this story
Last night and this morning I emailed this to a few outlets. I hope the press picks up on this. First the fundamentals were strong, he hadn't read the proposal and now he want to suspend campaigning so he can resolve it.

6. It's just insane, you would think he would have had some
one read it to him.

Good idea on sending it around, did you send it to KO and Maddow? Oh and letterman ;)

9. I sent it to KO and Rachel
I didn't think about Letterman. I'll send it to him today. :)

It would have made sense to say that someone read it to him.

11. That's funny
but sadly that's probably what happened. Definitely not presidential.

Of course, you realize my OP is wrong - it was Tuesday the 23rd and wed the 24th. I'm having personal calender issues.

Good going on getting that out, thank you

15. Thank you for posting this information
What's sad is that I live in Cleveland and I missed this. I usually change the channel when McCain comes on.

Ed also had Robert Gibbs from the Obama campaign on the show. He mention that McCain hadn't read it as of Tues. He asked Gibbs what he thought about it. Gibbs let out a little laugh and a sigh. He said, "I don't even know what to say about that".

Hopefully they will include this information in their campaigns. :)

7. He couldn't be bothered to read a 3 page proposal, but I'm damn
sure he read the reams of polling data they got yesterday. Ergo, his bizarre campaign "suspension".

8. I think he finally read the bailout proposal and then freaked out
he doesn't shot from the hip very well (example=selection of sista sarah) and he panicked, not very leader like at all. ;)
