Don't underestimate the evil of the right wing |
|
I know we're all feeling more optimistic with the new poll numbers coming out and with McCain backing out of the debate. But we can't get complacent. The right wing is ruthless and will do absolutely anything to win, legal or otherwise. I'm feeling much more optimistic than I was a few weeks ago, but we still need to get out there and work hard for our candidate! If we come out on top in November, what a sweet victory it will be!

1. I agree they'll do anything, |

but I don't think they even want to win this time. Oh McCain does, but he's senile. The smart Republicans know they have fucked the country up so badly, they need the Dems to fix things, so there is something for them to pillage in another eight years. If they really wanted or expected to win, would they have ever allowed Grampa McCrankypants to get the nomination? Would they have allowed him to choose Moosey Nasalwhine as a running mate? Would they have let them run such a shambles of a campaign? Not likely. For that matter, would they be proposing a bailout that goes against everything they have been preaching for thirty years? They figure in eight years, the public will have forgotten who was really to blame, and they can start in again with their "free market" crapola. And sadly, they are probably right; unless we make it our business to NOT LET people forget!
