Most Important aspect of Letterman Comments
I thought that the most damning of Letterman's comments was when he found out that McCain was canceling that like during a football game if the First String Quarterback is unable to play then you put in the Second String Quarterback. You don't suspend the game. It only reveals that Palin is so damn incapable that McCain and his handlers have come to the conclusion that they can't trust her to not totally blow it. Her incompetence has been amply demonstrated the two times that she has gone public. They have come to realize that they totally blew it when they took Rove's advice and chose her thinking that she would rally the hard line bible thumpers. They have sadly come to the realization that indeed she is ONLY ANOTHER PRETTY FACE and nothing more. The icing on the cake was when Letterman was able to get a live feed showing McCain had stiff-armed Letterman and was being made up for an interview with Kathy instead of rushing back to Washington like Paul Revere coming to the rescue.

1. The whole Bailout Crisis he had to handle is about Palin, not the Economy

After she has performed so terribly on Couric and Gibson, they realized there is no way in hell she can handle even a softball debate.

So McCain did the only thing he could, try to cancel this fridays debate and have it moved to the VP debate and then reschedule the VP debate for a later time, which would either mean it never occurs or it happens too late for it to make any difference.

4. I hope the pundits pick up on this...
If John McCain doesn't think his running mate is competent and capable enough to carry on the campaign for 48 hours without him, then how in heaven's name is she to be trusted, potentially, with running the United States Government?

What happened yesterday was tantamount to a vote of "No Confidence" by John McCain.

5. Which begs the question: Why is QB McCain unable to play? As Obama said, Presidents
have to do more than one thing at a time. As Letterman said, maybe McCain would suspend being President and we don't need that. We have a guy like that now.
