Trying to sort the financial "crisis" PRIOR to such a significant election is just insane!

This lack of logic appears to have escaped much of the media - if this is indeed a historically catastrophic event, why would you sort it out prior to such a critical presidential election? Particularly during the "reign" of such a catastrophic failure of this current "president"

NO company would manage their business like this, no family would manage their lives like this.

This should be triggering mass protests, marches, civil disobedience. The masses have been bamboozled into apathy!

1. the markets have been screwed up since LAST AUGUST!

the time for action was MONTHS ago. people in the industry knew something needed to be done a year ago. certainly it became widely obvious when bear failed.

at this point, delaying things until after the election is not a good idea, although they could provide just a stopgap bailout to tide things over until then.


democrats have been calling for homeowner protection for subprime mortgages for quite a long time now, something should have been done ages ago.
